gorgeous-ness.

Oh my goodness. Could someone gift me this dress...and maybe an occasion to wear it?

crunchy leaves.

Hello staple Fall outfit.

P.S. I love you Flannel.

Oh and When Harry Met Sally.
 Love. It.

Have I told you lately that fall is my favorite?
Because it is.

4.8.11

goodbye, hello.

Here's the dealio. Over the past few weeks I have experienced a little too much chaos than I prefer. Not okay, especially when it interrupts my bloggin' time. One of my bigger life changes has been the acquisition of a new job. Hooray! On August 22nd I will be transitioning from this to....a more casual something (Not really sure what to call it). I will be working with kiddos on a one-to-one basis, meaning goodbye heels and slacks, and hello jeans. This is pretty much heaven for a post-grad (or is it just me?). No need to purchase uncomfortable clothing that will only be worn Monday thru Friday 8 to 5. Don't get me wrong, I love dressing up, but if I could chose, I would be wearing jeans and ballet flats.
So in honour of this job I give you the new and improved work outfit for moi.

I hope you noticed, that by "zesty" I meant I added boots to this equation.

shameless advertising.

Okay, I realize that I have done this whole wedding trailer thing before but 618 Studios is just too good! It's not just that I was the maid of honour at their wedding, it's because their work is heartfelt and conveys everything and more you could ever want from a wedding. Two things: The venue is amazing. Condor's Nest Ranch...if you weren't so darn expensive I would book my non-existent wedding in a heartbeat. Numero dos. Succulents and jute runners. Enough said.

summa.

Portland had it's first sunny day in months...it was a miracle. The temperature got above 60 for the first time in what seems like FOREVER (of course it lasted 24 hours and then it was gone). All I could think about was this summer, lounging around in dresses and tanks. Getting rid of this lovely shade of paste on my skin that the northwest seems to be so good at keeping up. oh and margaritas, dresses and margaritas.

oh and these please

paperback.

What an awesome find! Out of Print pays tribute to classic novels through fashion. Even better, for each shirt sold one book is donated to Books for Africa. Check it.

How comfy does this sweatshirt look...almost as good as the book itself.

wedding schmedding.

For weeks and weeks I have been going back and forth about the same darn topic...weddings.
To blog or not to blog. I have always been a lover of weddings. However, while helping plan my best friend Kelley's wedding last year I discovered that I kind of lusted over the creation and finished product of weddings. I love every little detail, be it DIY, location, or photography (or videography for that matter. Check out 618 studios).  The finished product can be so lovely and inspiring. If only I had the guts, I would start planning weddings myself, but for now I will just share with you one of my personal favs.
A stunning Australian countryside wedding. All DIY all the time.

How sweet and lovely is her dress!

All of my favs wrapped into one gorgeous wedding. Full of DIY, bunting, yummy favors, champagne, and bicycles.

braid.

Please hair, can you become thick and lustrous quickly? I really want to pull this off.
Thank you.

working girl.

So now that I am a working girl, I have a new appreciation for work clothing. Now when I say work clothing I dont mean the usual work attire. I am not the biggest fan of the pant suit, and luckily I will most likely never be in a line of work that requires it.

hello tweed.

I realize I have expensive taste, and work in a field that isn't swimming in the benjamins.
A girl can dream right?
