I cannot get enough of art museums. When I was in college I made every excuse to visit the Getty, every excuse. During my flight to Boston in April I created a bucket list that is (needless to say) every growing - one of the first places I wanted to visit was the Museum of Fine Arts. I was lucky enough to find out that there was free admission on Memorial Day, so I made the trek on the T and to my surprise found a rather large line of little children on their way into the museum as well. Should have thought of that before, but just another excuse to return and absorb some more culture - baby scream free.

your name here.
Recently I have been all about the personalized whatever. For some reason I get the feeling that having my name printed in a lovely manner on a piece of card stock makes me into more of an adult. Don't ask me how I have come to this conclusion.
I have always enjoyed Anna Bond's GORGEOUS Rifle Paper Co., and now that I see she makes personalized stationary. I love her even more.

Hello custom portraits. How awesome are you?!
These hand painted illustrations and lettering are so lovely! Too early to start my Christmas list?

pretty pretty paintings.
Art is my cup of tea. Don't get too excited, I don't actually have any artistic skill. The closest I get to drawing are the doodles that cover my notes, and they usually end up looking like a 3rd graders art project. I suppose my love of art comes from wishing I could do it too. I ran across kiki & polly recently, not only is Lisa Golightly (love the breakfast at tiffany's reference) a wonderful artist, but she also lives and works out of my favorite city...Portland, Oregon. Instead of becoming sidetracked and boring you with my love of PDX, I will just get straight to the good stuff.
oh and it gets better. If you send in a photo she will create a sketch print like this one...
