spring in my step.

It may be the first day of Spring, but it sure doesn't feel like it in Portland. This last week has been filled with snow flurries, hail and rain. Where is my sun?! Where is my stroll through the cherry blossom trees?

These happen to be mine already in creme.

In my dream world...this is what I would be wearing while I stroll (dance) around in the park. There would also be a lot of high fives going around and maybe some singing along with the bluebirds.

nerd alert.

It was time for a new pair of frames for this lady. My unfortunate eyesight makes it difficult to read the instant Netflix movies on my television (I know, how unfortunate), and sometimes street signs. Woops. As a recent college grad, no matter how big or small my paycheck may be - I am always broke.
BonLook to the rescue! Good Morning Fellows is my frame of choice. Whatcha think?

something to wrap your hands around.

For some crazy reason fall/winter means I need a new coffee mug (Although if you look in my kitchen cabinet it is clearly evident that I have no shortage). It doesn't feel like I have officially rung in the new season without a little ceramic goodness to wrap my hands around.

and because I majored in psych...a little Xanax with your cup of joe.

crunchy leaves.

Hello staple Fall outfit.

P.S. I love you Flannel.

Oh and When Harry Met Sally.
 Love. It.

Have I told you lately that fall is my favorite?
Because it is.

person place or thing.

About a month ago I stumbled upon what may be my favorite shop in Portland. This little gem is located in southeast Portland, surrounded by yummy restaurant after restaurant. One might think Noun (their slogan: a person's place for things. so clever.) would be lost in the all the busyness but it has an extra special thing going for it. Saint Cupcake. Yep I said it. Cupcakes AND a beautiful selection of locally made jewellery, art, cards, and vintage delights.

My first purchase at Noun was a vintage button ring by Dana Robinson.
One for a birthday girl and one for moi.

I think my next visit to Noun, this little buddy will be coming home with me.

I have to say that I am a little bummed that I did not come up with this perfect pairing. Who can resist cupcakes and vintage "things."

i like to ride my.

On a recent bike ride I discovered two things.
One. I need to ride my bike more often.
Two. My bike needs to retire.
My dad bought my bike when I was 13 years old. In it's prime, it was probably worth $100.00, which should have been a sign when purchased. It has lasted ten years too long. Time for a sweet replacement.

This color please.

and this basket too.

just a dash and a pinch.

Salt and pepper shakers. So under appreciated, yet such a lovely addition to any table. Especially when they are not your run of the mill shakers. (haha get it...mill...pepper mill. I know, I'm clever)

Personal DIY favorite...

summa.

Portland had it's first sunny day in months...it was a miracle. The temperature got above 60 for the first time in what seems like FOREVER (of course it lasted 24 hours and then it was gone). All I could think about was this summer, lounging around in dresses and tanks. Getting rid of this lovely shade of paste on my skin that the northwest seems to be so good at keeping up. oh and margaritas, dresses and margaritas.

oh and these please

kitch.

Oh dear. I'm in heaven. My dream kitchen is already stocked full of everything Herriott Grace. Everything. As usual my wallet will hate me but my apartment will much appreciate.

oh, and all of my cakes will look like this.

Absolutely love the feather kitchen linen and pedestal.
Perfect for wine and cheese parties.

light me up.

If I had some moola to spend on a lamp...I would spend it on this puppy.

I love the description..."Materials for map: old city maps. white ribbon and yarn."
And that is how it should be. Simplicity at its best.

pink flamingo.

I wish I could draw, paint, whatever...sadly I cannot. So instead I will lust over Pop Pop Portraits mad skillz. How fun and unique are these prints? One word came to mind as I was perusing her Etsy shop...whimsical.
