6.6.12

mfa.

I cannot get enough of art museums. When I was in college I made every excuse to visit the Getty, every excuse. During my flight to Boston in April I created a bucket list that is (needless to say) every growing - one of the first places I wanted to visit was the Museum of Fine Arts. I was lucky enough to find out that there was free admission on Memorial Day, so I made the trek on the T and to my surprise found a rather large line of little children on their way into the museum as well. Should have thought of that before, but just another excuse to return and absorb some more culture - baby scream free.

chuck close.

These pictures do not do the MFA justice, but needless to say I was in heaven. I may be investing in a membership pass.

found.

Found Vintage Rentals is the greatest find (hehe) ever. A friend of mine discovered this lovely event decor and prop resource for weddings, photo shoots, and events. It has everything from candlesticks to bikes to couches. Anything and everything vintage you could possibly want. Unfortunately for us in the Northwest, Found Vintage is located in Orange County...maybe they could move up North soon?? Pretty please?

Pretty please with sugar on top?

23.2.11

toasty toes.

In honor of the first snow of 2011, in Portland that is...I give you the fireplaces I lust over.
I plan on spending my snow day(s) sipping hot chocolate and/or wine in front of my fireplace and finishing up Suite Francaise by Irene Nemirovsky.

I realize that this isn't necessarily "toasty," but I love the idea
and the fact that it is yet another place to store my unhealthy collection of books.

Most heavenly bath ever.

happy winters end!

book lust.

Greatest discovery ever. A blog solely dedicated to libraries.
Every picture is urging me to run to Powells and add to my book collection...which I already have no room for.

7.1.11

my favorite rooms.

For the moment...this is what I want my future home to look like.

lots of space for entertaining.

munchkin included.

Cary Grant + James Stewart will be frequent guests.

Love the use of old doors as a headboard.

So I realize that it looks as if my house will have a lot of white walls...this is most certainly not true. I despise white walls....I just like these hypothetical ones.
